Opening:
The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by renditions of Maharashtra Geet and the University Song. Dr. Chitra Lele welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, with Dr. Sanjay Kumar Phad providing an introduction. Madam Vice Chancellor Prof. Ujwala Chakradeo felicitated the Chief Guest, and Dr. Vilas Nandavadekar, Registrar, introduced the program.
Keynote Address:
Chief Guest Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, retired IAS officer and Hon'ble Chancellor of Central University of Gujarat, applauded SNDT Women's University and engaged with around 600 students and staff. He emphasized four key mantras for transforming Bharat into a developed nation: understanding requirements, assessing the current status, projecting growth over the upcoming years, and outlining necessary actions. He elucidated historical economic growth, the impact of 1991 LPG reforms, infrastructural advancements, and digital transformation. Dr. Adhia stressed investments in data and IT, promotion of startups, structural reforms, education, skill development, health, and AI for governance.
Presidential Address:
Prof. Ujwala Chakradeo, Vice Chancellor, SNDTWU, praised Dr. Adhia's insights and deemed the presentation enlightening. She highlighted SNDT's initiatives, including AI courses, Wise Incubation Centre startups, and skill development programs aligned with NEP-2020. Prof. Chakradeo also emphasized Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to empower women in legislative and parliamentary leadership.
Conclusion:
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Chitra Lele, expressing gratitude to all participants. Dr. Hasmukh Adhia's enlightening speech and the university's commitment to empowering women through education and innovation marked the event's success.
